ABOUT WOODSTOCK PLANTATION
Woodstock is located in the southwest corner of the State of Mississippi. We are in the rolling hill just east of the Mississippi River and the Tunica Hills. The land is made up of loess soil that run from Louisiana line north to Vicksburg. These soils are famous for producing some of the fines bucks in Mississippi. Woodstock and most of the neighboring lands have been in a state assisted quality deer management program since 1980. Wildlife biologist have been hired and consulted with privately to assist in the management of the habitat and the harvest. We have harvest annually 50 to 75 rack bucks each year for the past 35 years.
Woodstock’s success has been the result of good soils, habitat, management and good neighbors. The Johnson family has been taking people deer hunting for fun and profit for 40 years. The secret to our success has been to treat people like we would want to be treated, and to hunt deer where they have deer.
